Compare two or three substitute skeins side by side while you are shopping or checking your stash. Yarn Substitute Calculator keeps the pattern yardage as the common baseline, then shows what each option costs and leaves over.
Use it to:
- name the project before shopping
- convert pattern yardage into substitute skeins
- add gauge allowance and extra buffer
- see spare yarn and estimated project cost
- compare candidates by estimated cost, spare yarn, or required skeins
- select one option and reuse the existing buy note and share output
- share a clean skein-buy note
Why people pay for it:
- yarn substitutions happen in store aisles, at yarn festivals, and while comparing stash options
- the app stays focused on one job: telling you what to buy
- no account, ads, subscription, analytics SDK, photo storage, cloud sync, or server dependency
Sorting is numeric planning help, not a recommendation about gauge, fit, fiber behavior, or dye-lot availability. Prices are user-entered estimates, not live store prices. Yarn Substitute Calculator is a craft planning calculator only.
