WristTales is a beautifully simple audiobook player for the audiobooks you already own — on your iPhone and, uniquely, right on your Apple Watch.
Import your own DRM-free M4A, M4B, and MP3 audiobooks and start listening in seconds. No accounts, no store, no clutter — just your books and a player designed to do one thing perfectly: remember exactly where you are and let you press play.
NEVER LOSE YOUR PLACE
Your playback position is saved continuously and synced through iCloud. Switch devices, reinstall the app, or come back months later — WristTales always drops you back at the exact sentence you left off.
TWO WAYS TO LISTEN ON YOUR WRIST
• Remote mode — control playback on your iPhone straight from your wrist: play, pause, skip, and scrub with the Digital Crown.
• Standalone mode — copy a book to your Watch and leave the phone at home. Pair Bluetooth earphones and enjoy your audiobook on a walk or run, completely phone-free. Your position syncs back when you return.
A PLAYER THAT STAYS OUT OF YOUR WAY
• Clean, focused player with cover art and an elegant rotary scrubber
• Chapter support for M4B and chaptered files — jump straight to any chapter
• Sleep timer with quick presets (10/15/30/60 min), your own favorite duration, and end-of-chapter option
• Bookmarks — mark a moment, jump back to it anytime
• Skip back and forward with a tap, background playback, and full lock-screen and Control Center controls
EASY IMPORT
• Add books from the Files app or iCloud Drive
• AirDrop or "Open in WristTales" from other apps
• Metadata, cover art, and chapters are read automatically
MAKE THE BOOK YOURSELF
Don't have the audiobook? WristTales Binder for Mac builds one — from your own recordings, or straight from an ebook it narrates for you. It writes a chaptered .m4b with cover art and metadata and sends it here, to your iPhone and your Watch.
YOUR LIBRARY, YOUR RULES
WristTales plays audio files you own. There is no built-in store, no subscription, and no DRM. Your books stay on your device, and only tiny position data is stored in your personal iCloud.
If you have a folder of audiobooks and an Apple Watch, WristTales is the player you've been waiting for. Press play — we'll remember the rest.
