STL View is an offline STL viewer, OBJ viewer and 3D model viewer for iOS. Open, inspect and share STL or OBJ files for 3D printing and CAD-export workflows—without uploading your models or creating an account.
OPEN STL AND OBJ FILES
View binary and ASCII STL files
Open geometry-only Wavefront OBJ models
Open models from your device using the iOS Files app or supported Open With and Share flows
Reopen recently viewed models from your local Recent Files list
Share a model only when you choose
INSPECT 3D MODELS
Explore your 3D models with clear, responsive touch controls:
Orbit and rotate models from any angle
Pan, zoom and fit the model to the screen
Switch between shaded and wireframe viewing
Use perspective or orthographic projection
Jump to front, back, left, right, top and bottom views
Check model dimensions and triangle count
Review mesh geometry before using it in a 3D printing workflow
BUILT FOR 3D PRINTING AND CAD EXPORTS
STL View is useful for:
3D printing enthusiasts checking STL files before slicing
Engineers reviewing mesh exports from CAD software
Designers inspecting model dimensions and geometry
Makers previewing downloaded 3D print models
Students learning about 3D meshes
Anyone who needs a focused STL and OBJ file viewer
LOCAL AND PRIVACY-FOCUSED
Your models are processed locally on your device. STL View does not upload your model files, filenames, paths, geometry, dimensions or triangle counts to a cloud service, advertising provider or analytics platform.
No account or registration is required. Recent-file copies and preferences remain on your device and can be removed from the app.
RESPECTFUL VIEWING EXPERIENCE
STL View keeps the 3D model at the center of the experience. The app does not use timed, interstitial or full-screen advertising flows. When advertising is enabled, only a banner may appear after a model is ready.
SUPPORTED FORMATS
STL — binary and ASCII
OBJ — geometry only
OBJ material libraries, textures and sidecar files are not loaded. Native CAD formats such as STEP, STP, IGES, IGS, Parasolid, SOLIDWORKS and Fusion files are not supported. Export those models to STL or geometry-only OBJ before opening them.
STL View is designed for viewing and inspection. It does not edit, repair, slice, convert or print models. Complex meshes may be displayed using a clearly identified reduced-detail preview.
Open your STL or OBJ model and inspect it from every angle with a simple, private and focused 3D model viewer.
