Read Habbit helps you build a daily reading habit by turning your phone from a source of distraction into a calm, distraction-free reading surface.
Pick a book, set a duration, and enter a Reading Lock session. Your screen becomes a serene reading companion: the book you're reading, a quiet countdown, a gentle progress ring, and a single intention — "This time is for reading." When the session ends, you'll see exactly how long you read.
READING LOCK SESSIONS
• Choose any book from your library and a duration (15 to 90 minutes)
• Optionally shield distracting apps for the length of your session using Screen Time
• A full-screen, minimal lock screen keeps you on the page, not the feed
• Subtle pause and end-early controls — discipline without guilt
BUILD A REAL HABIT
• A daily reading goal ring tracks your minutes
• See your reading streak grow, one quiet session at a time
• Weekly minutes and lifetime totals, all computed from what you actually read
• Soft achievement badges that encourage, never nag
YOUR LIBRARY
• Search millions of books or add by ISBN, powered by Open Library
• Beautiful cover art, with an elegant typographic fallback
• Organize by Reading, Want to Read, and Finished
• Open any book to rate it, write notes and reviews, and review every reading session you've logged
INSIGHTS
• A streak calendar that shows your reading days at a glance
• Total time read, books finished, and a weekly bar chart
• Quiet, motivating progress — no noisy gamification
DESIGNED TO BE CALM
ReadLock is built around a warm, paper-inspired design with a literary serif type and a forest-green accent. Every interaction is intentional, gentle, and premium — a space that invites you to slow down and read.
A NOTE ON FOCUS
ReadLock uses Apple's Screen Time to shield distracting apps during a session on supported devices. Because iOS doesn't allow apps to switch on Do Not Disturb for you, pair ReadLock with your own Reading Focus for the quietest experience.
Less scrolling. More reading. Start your first session today.
