The world isn’t all bad news; a lot of good things happen, too!
On the Bright Side helps you discover the stories that can easily get lost in the daily news cycle by giving you daily briefings — progress, breakthroughs, discoveries, recoveries, solutions and moments worth celebrating: All to help you remember that the world is moving forward, after all!
Drawing from a range of established news and science sources, the app brings uplifting stories together in one calm, simple place. Choose how bright you want your news to be, explore topics that interest you, save your favourites, and open any story directly at the original publisher.
Choose your brightness
• Balanced — positive developments and constructive stories, without ignoring their wider context.
• Bright — clearly uplifting stories with a strongly positive outcome.
• Pure Sunshine — the good stuff: breakthroughs, recoveries, rescues, conservation successes and other stories that might just make your day.

Designed to feel good
On the Bright Side is deliberately simple and distraction-free. There are no endless arguments or outrage-driven feeds — just an easier way to discover some of the good things happening around us.
Save stories for later, search the latest selection, choose your preferred sources and set optional reminders when you’d like a little brighter news in your day.
Stories are selected and categorised on your device. Articles remain with their original publishers, and you can always go directly to the source to read the full story.
