Nano Chess shrinks the world's greatest strategy game to a 6x6 board built for your Apple Watch. Every match is quick, tactical, and surprisingly deep.
HOW IT WORKS
Two players take turns on the same Watch. Tap a piece to select it, tap a valid square to move. It's that simple.
REAL CHESS RULES, COMPACT BOARD
Six piece types: King, Queen, Rook, Bishop, Knight, and Pawn — each with authentic movement.
Full check and checkmate detection. You cannot move into check, and pinned pieces stay pinned.
Stalemate recognition for fair draws.
Pawns auto-promote to Queen when they reach the far rank.
DESIGNED FOR THE WRIST
Clean 6x6 grid with large, tappable squares that work on every Apple Watch size.
High-contrast filled pieces — white vs. black — readable at a glance.
Haptic feedback on every move: a tap for success, a buzz for invalid attempts.
Visual highlights: green for selection, dots for legal moves, red for captures, and a red king square when in check.
FAST & FOCUSED
No timers, no accounts, no internet required. Just open the app and play. A typical game lasts 2–5 minutes — perfect for a quick break, a commute, or settling a bet.
