What is Easter?
Easter is a Christian holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is the cornerstone of Christian belief. It is also celebrated as a time of renewal and joy, often involving Easter egg hunts, festive meals, and the arrival of spring. While traditionally a Christian celebration, many non-religious people enjoy the secular traditions associated with the holiday, like the Easter Bunny and egg decorating.
Why is Easter celebrated?
Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, as described in the New Testament of the Bible. It is celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon following the vernal equinox and is observed by millions of people worldwide as a day of hope and renewal.
