Welcome to MossMethod for Greek (MMG)—Your Digital Gateway to Authentic Ancient Greek
Ready to turn pleasant reading into real mastery? Developed by Dr. David Noe and the LatinPerDiem team, the MossMethod for Greek app brings a time-tested, context-rich pedagogical philosophy straight to your mobile device. Whether you are a seasoned classicist, an enthusiastic student, or an absolute neophyte, mastering Ancient Greek has never been more accessible or convenient.
Read Real Prose from Day One
Unlike contemporary textbooks that bog you down with isolated abstractions and endless grammar drills, MMG invites you to dive straight into real, connected language. Vocabulary, syntax, and style emerge naturally as you engage directly with the text. Right inside the app, you get complete starter access to the entire Moss Reader. That includes 163 fascinating stories graduated in difficulty across 4 comprehensive modules, progressing smoothly from simpler prose to challenging ancient texts.
Every story features accurate, idiomatic, en face English translations—modeled after the famous Loeb Classical Library series—allowing you to self-check your comprehension instantly.
Listen and Learn with High-Quality Audio
To build true reading confidence, rhythm, and accurate pronunciation, professional audio narration accompanies every single story. You can listen while reading silently, read aloud with the narrator, or replay favorite passages to internalize the phrasing of the language.
A Lifelong Reading Companion
MMG is built for pleasant, low-pressure daily immersion. Spend just 10 to 15 minutes a day tracking your progress, marking stories complete, and watching your skills grow. Best of all, your library will continue to expand. Future updates will feature additional foundational texts from Freeman and Lowe, accessible adaptations of Xenophon, and immersive selections from Attic history.
Accelerate with Guided Courses
The app provides perfect lifetime access for lightweight exploration. For those chasing accelerated mastery, you can seamlessly pair the app with Dr. Noe’s expert, structured word-by-word video courses and personalized homework grading.
