MapBridge is the essential utility for people (especially drivers) in Hong Kong, Macau, and mainland China who rely on Google Maps to discover places and Amap (高德地图) to navigate.
THE PROBLEM IT SOLVES
Google Maps is unbeatable for search and discovery — but its navigation is unreliable on Chinese roads. Amap has the best road coverage and real-time traffic in Greater China — but finding places on it is frustrating. MapBridge bridges the gap: find anywhere on Google Maps, drive there with Amap.
HOW IT WORKS
Copy any Google Maps link — shortened (maps.app.goo.gl) or full URL. MapBridge detects it the moment you open the app and asks what you'd like to do. Tap Open in Amap and navigation starts instantly, with accurate coordinates for Hong Kong, Macau, and the mainland.
KEY FEATURES
One-tap conversion — paste a Google Maps link and open Amap navigation in seconds
Clipboard detection — a banner appears automatically when a Maps link is copied, no manual pasting needed
Saved Places — star any converted location to keep it for later
Google Takeout import — import your entire Google Maps Saved Places list from a Google Takeout export in one step
Conversion history — every converted link is saved locally so you can re-open it anytime
Bilingual — full English and Traditional Chinese interface
PRIVACY
MapBridge collects zero data. No account, no server, no analytics. Everything — your clipboard, your history, your imported places — stays on your device. Always.
