Ebru turns your iPad into a tray of water and a brush of ink — the same craft Ottoman masters practiced for 500 years, now powered by a real fluid simulation and your Apple Pencil.
Drop color onto the water. Watch it spread, swirl, and answer every touch the way ink really would. Comb it into tides. Coax it into a nightingale's nest. Save the result as a 4K image, an .ebru file you can re-open later, or a smooth video of the whole piece being painted, stroke by stroke.
This is not a filter. This is real, slow, meditative marbling — the way it was always meant to feel.
WHY EBRU
◆ Authentic Turkish marbling toolkit
Battal, Yaprak (Leaf), Tek Damla (Single Drop), Gelgit (Tide), Şal (Shawl), Bülbül Yuvası (Nightingale's Nest) and İç içe Bülbül — the classical Ebru patterns, each tuned with the right sliders, not a generic "splat".
◆ Real fluid simulation
Every color you drop displaces the colors underneath it, exactly like surfactant on water. Strokes leave wakes. Tides comb existing patterns. Nothing is faked.
◆ Built for Apple Pencil
Pressure, tilt, hover, double-tap and squeeze — Ebru is designed around the Pencil from the first stroke. 120 Hz on ProMotion iPads. Indistinguishable from drawing on paper.
◆ Ottoman color palettes
Renk Şerbet, Çini İznik, Mürekkep Sümina, Akdeniz, Parşömen, Hatayi Çiçek, Lavanta Duman, Hâli Cezire — palettes drawn from real tiles, manuscripts and miniatures, not stock swatches.
◆ Custom frames
Finish the piece with traditional and modern frames. Ottoman cartouche, museum mat, minimalist black, paper edge — match your art to its home.
◆ Save your work, every step
My Works keeps every piece. Auto-save means you never lose a stroke. Export to Photos at full resolution, share the .ebru document, or replay your whole session as a stroke-by-stroke video.
◆ Open in place
Tap an .ebru in Files or Mail and you are back in the exact session. Hand work between teacher and student, or between your own iPads.

ONE PURCHASE. NOTHING ELSE TO BUY.
Ebru is a single purchase. No subscription, no ads, no in-app purchases, no account, no cloud. Every tool, every palette, every frame, unlimited layers and full-resolution export are included from the first launch — and in every update after it.
PRIVACY
Your art stays on your iPad. We don't upload your work. The camera is used only when you choose to extract a palette from a photo, and the image never leaves your device.
Ebru is independently made by an artist-developer. If the app makes you a little calmer today, leave a review — every star helps.
