The Planned Pooling Calculator Simulator is an iOS app designed to make patterned knitting with colorful variegated and gradient yarns even more fun and beautiful.
Planned pooling is a knitting technique where you intentionally control the color transitions in yarn to create specific patterns. However, imagining the final design manually can be difficult, often requiring many attempts and adjustments...
With this app, you can simulate patterns in real time simply by setting colors and the number of stitches. You can preview how the colors will be arranged within the grid of stitches in advance, greatly reducing the effort needed for swatching.
Features:
- Freely add and rearrange color segments (color + number of stitches)
- Select any color using a color picker
- Adjust the number of columns and rows with increment and decrement buttons
- Zoom and scroll to view the completed design in detail
- Supports back-and-forth (zigzag) layout according to knitting charts
- Fully offline operation for complete privacy and peace of mind
Recommended for:
- Beginners who want to try planned pooling
- Those who want to visualize patterns while browsing yarns at a yarn store
- Knitters who want to reduce swatching and enjoy more creative knitting
