Tap Piano • Complete Piano Keyboard, 30+ Instruments, Game & More
Most piano apps charge a monthly subscription to keep playing.
Tap Piano is different. A full 88-key touch keyboard, falling-note game, real instruments, built-in metronome, and recorder — including sing-along capture with a live voice waveform — free forever. The only optional purchase is a one-time instrument & song expansion.
Key Features
• Full 88-Key Touch Keyboard:
A complete A0–C8 piano keyboard with real multi-touch for simultaneous keys and chords. Pinch to zoom key width to your preference, and scroll to any octave instantly using the minimap.
• 30+ Real Instruments:
Grand Piano, Rhodes Electric Piano, Organ, Harpsichord, Marimba, Vibraphone, Violin, Cello, Strings, Trumpet, Trombone, Guitars, Flute, Clarinet, Sax, Choir, Synthesizer, and more — all powered by a real-time audio engine for authentic, low-latency sound.
• Falling-Note Game Mode:
Play along to classic songs — Für Elise, Ode to Joy, Happy Birthday, Mary Had a Little Lamb and more — with a scrolling note highway. Hit notes on time, chain streaks, earn 1–3 stars, and track your best performance per song.
• Sound Pack Expansion:
Tap Piano ships with the Salamander Grand Piano. Unlock the full an instrument library — 30+ additional instruments — with a single one-time in-app purchase. No subscription needed.
• Built-In Metronome:
40–240 BPM. 2, 3, 4, or 6 beats per measure. Runs in real-time alongside any instrument so you always have a reference for your timing and practice.
• Sing & Record — Voice + Piano Together:
Now you can record your voice and the piano in a single take. Turn on the microphone, start playing, and sing along — your voice and the keys are captured together in one recording. A live waveform visualizes your singing in real time as you play. Name your recordings, play them back, and keep a growing library of your performances. Perfect for practice, self-review, or sharing a song with someone.
• Real-Time Pitch Detection:
Play a note and see it identified in real time — note name and frequency shown in the toolbar. Great for ear training or identifying notes on a real piano.
• Beginner-Friendly Design:
Optional note labels on every key. Color-coded difficulty tiers in game mode. Starts simple, scales with you.
Why Tap Piano?
The piano app market is dominated by subscription gatekeeping. You try the app, you enjoy it, you hit the paywall. Cancel anytime (but you won't remember). Repeat.
Tap Piano was built on a different idea: give players a genuinely complete app and charge them once, optionally, if they want more. That's it. The keyboard, the game, the metronome, the recorder (instrument-only or voice + piano with a voice waveform), the pitch detector — all free. All the time.
Whether you're learning piano for the first time, want a quality instrument in your pocket, or got burned by a subscription you barely used — Tap Piano is yours to keep.
Start playing today. Keep playing forever.
