Background location
When you start an active monitoring session or Take Off advisory, Sentinel uses precise location even when the app is in the background. This keeps the operation area current and supports nearby-traffic monitoring. You control when the session starts and stops. Location is not used for advertising.
Important safety information
Sentinel is a supplementary situational-awareness aid. It displays only cooperative traffic available through participating data sources and cannot detect every aircraft or obstacle. It does not control your drone, authorize a flight, satisfy Remote ID obligations, or replace applicable regulations, official airspace information, visual observation, or the remote pilot’s responsibility to avoid other aircraft.
Network connectivity, location services, and a compatible device are required for live information. Availability and coverage vary by area.
