A dream machine for the whole day.
It plays all night, behind the lock.
A real synthesizer, played live.
Nothing in it is recorded and nothing in it repeats: the sound is
made on the phone's own engine while it plays.
It is not a sleep app. It is the whole day on one dial. Fourteen
dreams, from SLEEP, which walks the night's architecture and puts
itself to sleep, through the day's STEADY, CLIMB and DESCENT, to the
breath's EASE, RECOVER, FLOW and SIGH. A block is one minute or
eight hours. Three knobs and one key: DREAM, LENGTH, VOICE, START.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
No subscription.
No account. There is nothing to sign into.
No ads.
No telemetry. Nothing is measured and nothing is sent.
No recordings. Every sound is generated as it plays; there is not a
single recorded sample in it, so no loop ever comes round.
Nothing about the sleeper. The machine keeps a log of its own
nights, on the device, and that is the only thing it keeps.
There is no backend. If it is never updated again it keeps working,
because there is nothing for it to call.
The web machine at rrjjbb.com stays free forever. This is the one
that runs all night.
