About to pick a load with a multi-leg sling and need to verify the tension per leg is within safe limits? Exceeding the sling angle threshold can cause catastrophic failure. This app computes angle, tension per leg, and design factor for 2, 3, and 4-leg configurations instantly.
Enter load weight, sling length, and vertical height. Get sling angle from vertical, tension per leg, design factor, and pass/fail check against the 60° angle limit.
WHAT IT CALCULATES:
- Sling angle from vertical
- Tension per leg for 2, 3, and 4-leg configurations
- Total tension across all legs
- Design factor (total tension ÷ load weight)
- Pass/fail safety check
SLING CONFIGURATION:
- Multi-leg bridle (2, 3, 4 legs)
- Metric (kg/m) and Imperial (lb/ft) units
KEY FEATURES:
- Built-in sling angle reference table
- Color-coded safety status
- Works completely offline
- No account or login required
Built for riggers, crane operators, ironworkers, and safety officers.
