RetroNet Mode is a display mode that brings the colour, image quality and texture of the 2000s internet back to Safari.
Blue underlined links, muted tones, plain fonts. The air of an old homepage settles over whatever page you are reading right now.
WHAT IT DOES
- Turn a modern web page retro with a single tap
- Several filters combining colour, image quality and text treatment
- Adjustable settings, so you can dial in your own version of "back then"
WHO IT IS FOR
- Anyone who met the internet in the era of dial-up and personal homepages
- Anyone in their thirties or forties who wants that atmosphere back for a moment
- Anyone too young to have seen it, for whom it lands as something new
HOW TO USE IT
1. Enable the Safari extension in Settings
2. Open any page in Safari
3. Switch RetroNet Mode on from the extension
Your usual news site, your usual feed — run through RetroNet Mode, they become the internet of that time. Digital nostalgia, in your pocket.
