Planetary transforms your music library into a living universe.
Explore your collection as a galaxy of sound: artists become stars, albums become orbiting planets, and tracks become moons. Every library is different, built from the music you love, ready to explore by touch, mouse, or remote.
Fly through your artists, dive into an album's solar system, and watch every song take its place in orbit. Select an album to play from the beginning, choose an individual track, or let shuffle take you somewhere unexpected in your musical universe.
YOUR LIBRARY. YOUR UNIVERSE.
Planetary is a music visualiser, music library explorer, and ambient space experience in one:
- Explore Apple Music as an interactive 3D galaxy.
- Artists as stars, albums as planets, tracks as moons.
- Play albums, artists, playlists, individual tracks, or shuffle your library.
- Dynamic orbits, atmosphere, cloud layers, glows, eclipses, lens flare, and playback trails.
- A cinematic ambient mode designed for Apple TV.
- Smooth touch, mouse, gyro, keyboard, and remote controls.
- Discography timelines that reveal albums in release order.
- Built with a custom Metal renderer for rich, responsive visuals.
- Use the included demo library to get a taste for the visuals, or connect your Apple Music library.
