Oxford Wordfinder
Are you a wordsmith, a puzzle master, a writer? Or are you just wanting to improve your vocabulary in particular subjects? Then this little app is just for you.
Drawn from the supplementary material originally published in the Oxford Thesaurus of English (OTE) are fascinating lists of imitative, archaic, foreign, and other words. These lists make an invaluable aid to crossword-solving and a fascinating source of encyclopedic information on subjects as diverse as clouds, cocktails, marsupials, and martial arts.
WordFinder word lists have been fully revised and reorganized with its own quick-reference index and includes topics from clothes and food, to medicine and music, with new lists of foreign words and phrases, archaic words, imitative words, British and American equivalents, and more.
