The board is up, the songs are playing. You guess. Your phone is the buzzer — and none of your guests have to install anything.
NuSickQuiz is a music quiz for the party. The iPhone or iPad shows the board and plays the songs; guests join by scanning a QR code with their phone. No app, no account, no sign-in. Everyone who came for the party is playing within half a minute.

ON THE BIG SCREEN
Put the game on the TV with Screen Mirroring or AirPlay. Without a TV, the iPhone or iPad is the screen.
HOW YOU PLAY
Every team gets its own board of categories. Exactly one tile on each board is golden and doubles the score. The quizmaster taps a tile for the team whose turn it is, the song plays, and the team buzzes the moment they recognise it. They say the answer out loud, and the quizmaster approves or rejects it from their own phone. The app holds no answer key — you do, around the table.
THE FASTER YOU BUZZ, THE MORE IT IS WORTH
The countdown decides what a tile pays: buzz early and it is worth up to double. With stealing switched on, the other teams can pounce during the last part of the countdown.
YOU AGREE THE RULES BEFORE THE MATCH
Before you start, you decide what kind of evening it is — stealing, timing, which categories can be drawn, and the rest. Same game, different temperature.
NO APPLE MUSIC SUBSCRIPTION NEEDED
The game uses Apple's own free previews of about 30 seconds. The device needs to be signed in to an Apple Account to look the songs up, but no Apple Music subscription is required to play.
CATEGORIES, NOT ONE GENRE
The app ships with a selection of categories, and more arrive with new content releases. Which categories can be drawn onto the boards is up to you, under KATEGORIER in the lobby.
PRICE AND PURCHASES
The app is a free download. Inside it you can buy NuCoins (from 49 kr) and spend them on single categories and category packs, or buy Large Pack - 1 Year: a year of everything for 399 kr, paid once, with every pack open — new ones published during the year included. It does not renew, and there is nothing to cancel. Buying it again while it runs adds a year. When the year is over, you keep the packs that existed then. Purchases go through the App Store. What is sold is the quiz — never the music, which is always Apple's free previews. Some categories in the screenshots are in packs sold in the app.

WHAT YOU NEED
An iPhone running iOS 17.0 or later, or an iPad running iPadOS 17.0 or later, signed in to an Apple Account. Guests only need a browser and the internet — any network, mobile data included. The quizmaster needs a phone of their own besides the one showing the board.
