Nostal is a creative studio for original European-American retro portraiture. You describe the scene; AI renders a new still from scratch. This is not a photo editor, face swap, or “upload your selfie and transform” app.
CREATE FROM WORDS
• Open Compose, choose a curated mood (Gilded Jazz, Silver Screen, Neon Boulevard, and more)
• Write your Scene Brief—silhouette, light, wardrobe, and atmosphere
• Optional Polish brief coach to tighten wording before you render
• Tap Render still for a high-quality retro portrait sized for creative workflows
POLISH, THEN RENDER
• Quick-start cues help you shape a strong brief fast
• Polish brief uses reel tokens and returns an editable draft you can apply or keep editing
• Failed generations refund tokens when a charge was applied
BUILD MOTION FROM YOUR STILLS
• Turn App-generated stills into short motion clips with paired camera paths
• Pick a narrative branch, confirm, and preview playback when the clip is ready
• Motion clips always use Purchased Coins (reel tokens)
YOUR LOCAL FOLIO
• Folio keeps stills and clips on your device—organized by mood chapter
• Save to Photos, share, or manage selections locally
• No social feed, no cloud gallery, no public upload square
PROVISIONS & PATINA MEMBERSHIP
• Reel token packs for motion clips, brief polish, and still renders without membership
• Patina Membership (auto-renewable): unlimited still renders while subscribed
• Videos and brief polish still require Purchased Coins, even for members
• Restore purchases anytime from Provisions
PRIVACY YOU CAN READ
• Clear on-device privacy gate before first use
• We do not collect or store biometric face data
• Your prompts and outputs stay on your device unless you choose to save or share
• Privacy Policy and Terms available in-app
FOR DESIGNERS & CREATORS Nostal is built for visual designers, content creators, and retro-aesthetic enthusiasts who need original, rights-friendly imagery—without turning the app into another generic filter toy.
