Learn first aid for when it really matters.
NatYouth teaches first aid for serious injuries and accidents. Through realistic scenarios and interactive exercises, you practise making the right decisions at an accident scene – assessing the situation, prioritising what to do, and acting quickly and safely.
FOUR SCENARIOS
• Serious bus accident – a complex accident with several injured, and you must prioritise
• Snowmobile accident – alone in winter terrain, with a neck injury and hypothermia
• Fall injury – Granddad is hurt, and it is urgent
• Sports injury – a fall while running in the forest, far from help
WHAT YOU LEARN
• Secure the scene, and think of your own safety first
• Call the emergency number early – and get guidance while you help
• Basic triage: prioritising when several people are injured
• The ABCD approach, clearing the airway and the recovery position
• CPR 30:2 – compressions and rescue breaths
• Stopping bleeding and applying a pressure bandage
• Neck injuries, cooling and hypothermia in winter terrain
HOW YOU LEARN
Each scenario combines film, theory and exercises. You cannot move on until you answer correctly, and you are always told why. As you go, you earn points and follow your own progress.
