But those apps were designed for people talking to people, so an agent's real work — tool calls, file edits, approvals, progress — gets flattened into a wall of text. Macchiato is different: every part of the interface is designed around the way an agent actually works.

Note: Macchiato is the client for an AI agent that you run yourself — Hermes, OpenClaw, Claude Code, or Codex. You pair your agent once by scanning a QR code; the app talks to it through our relay.
