Halation is a film-inspired camera for people who miss the way photos used to feel.
Point it at the world and see your shot the way it will actually look — the film grade is applied live in the viewfinder and baked into every photo and video the moment you capture. No editing afterward, no endless sliders.
EIGHT HAND-BUILT LOOKS
Each look is a full film recipe — tone curves, colour, grain, halation and vignette — not a flat filter dropped on top:
• Neutral — clean and true to life
• Emulsion — warm, soft, fine grain
• Pixel — punchy and crisp
• Nocturne — teal night stock with red halation
• Silver — rich black and white
• Faded — matte and muted
• Vivid — bold and saturated
• Cross — cross-processed colour
A ROLL WORTH FINISHING
Load a roll, watch the counter tick down, and develop it when it's full. It's an optional ritual that brings back the joy of shooting with intention — switch it off any time for unlimited frames.
PHOTO AND VIDEO, ONE GRADE
Record video with the exact look you see in the viewfinder, baked in and ready to share.
FINE-TUNE IN REAL TIME
Nudge grain and contrast on the fly until the frame feels exactly right.
YOUR FILM STRIP
Every frame develops into a tidy in-app gallery, tagged with the look you shot it on, and saves to your photo library.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Everything happens on your device. Halation has no accounts, no ads, and collects no data. Your photos are yours.
