TURN TRADE INTO FORTUNE
Buy where goods are plentiful and sell where they are scarce. Supply, demand and rival captains reshape the markets. Find a profitable cargo, plan a voyage across several turns and change course when danger appears.
BUILD THE BUSINESS BEHIND YOUR FLEET
Invest in warehouses, workshops, mines, fisheries and beehives. Combine raw materials into valuable products and develop your own supply chains. Borrow to fund an opportunity, but leave enough gold to repay your debts. Your investments belong to you; cities are places to do business, not territory to conquer.
MASTER WIND AND BROADSIDES
Command your ships in turn-based battles on a hex board. Read the wind, manoeuvre into position and bring your broadside guns to bear. Use islands for cover, weigh a retreat against another salvo and recover part of a defeated enemy's cargo when your fleet has room.
