The map starts covered in fog. All of it. Your street, your city, every place you have ever been — hidden until you physically go there.
Walk, run, or ride, and the fog burns away wherever you pass. Forever. FOG turns your real life into the exploration screen of a strategy game: the more of the world you see with your own eyes, the more of the map you own.
FEATURES
• Fog of war for the real world — a living, rolling fog hides the map and clears permanently wherever you go
• Background exploring — turn it on and FOG keeps clearing fog while the app is closed; come back to "while you were away" progress
• Your character, Wander — a stick-figure explorer who earns new gear as you rank up, from Fogbound hatchling to Atlas
• Choose a path — Scholar, Warrior, or the weirder one
• Explorer ranks and stats — area unfogged, distance traveled, your exact share of Earth's surface
• Fog colors — Midnight, Abyss, Violet, Ember, Slate
• Share your map — an abstract glowing render of everywhere you've been, with no streets or labels, so your home stays private
• Import your history — bring in Google Timeline or GPX and get credit for everywhere you have already been (FOG Unlimited)
• Export anytime — your entire trail as a standard GPX file, yours forever
PRIVACY, ACTUALLY
Your location history is the most sensitive data you have. FOG keeps all of it on your phone. Nothing is uploaded. No account, no cloud, no analytics, no ads, no trackers. The app doesn't even have a server to send anything to.
FREE AND UNLIMITED
FOG is free to explore with the Scholar path and your first ranks. FOG Unlimited is a single one-time purchase — all paths and gear, every rank, and history import. No subscription. Ever.
The world is unmapped until you walk it.
