Build a duelist, choose seven skills, and fight your way up a ladder of opponents who fight back properly.
Foesong is a single-player duelling game. There is no world to wander and no errands to run. There is an arena, someone standing across it, and everything they are carrying.
CHOOSE SEVEN
Fourteen skills, seven slots. Swordsmanship or Macing. Archery or Throwing. Evocation, Restoration, Wardcraft. Tactics, Parrying, Anatomy, Resistance, Focus, Healing, Fitness. What you pick is who you are, and nothing you pick covers everything.
FIGHT IN REAL TIME
Duels play out live on an isometric arena floor. Close the distance or refuse to. Watch a cast bar and decide whether it is worth interrupting. Swap from bow to blade when they get inside your reach, and lose half a second doing it.
MELEE, RANGED, MAGIC
Each one answers another. Ranged pressure shuts a caster down, because any hit landing mid-cast cancels the spell and keeps the mana. Magic punishes melee for having to stay close. Melee ruins an archer's spacing. Short spells are almost impossible to stop and hit softly; long ones win the fight outright, if you are left alone long enough to finish one.
WIN AND TAKE IT ALL
Beat a duelist and everything they had equipped is yours to wear. The ladder gets harder as you climb, and so does what comes off it.
