Film Loupe is the fast, focused way to view photo negatives before you decide what is worth scanning.
Open the app and point your camera at a negative. Film Loupe shows a live positive view instantly, with simple one-handed controls for contrast and screen brightness. When you find a frame worth keeping, save the inverted view to Photos.
Built for quick triage, not complicated editing:
• Live negative-to-positive camera view
• One-tap save to Photos
• Vertical drag for contrast adjustment
• Right-edge drag for screen brightness
• Built-in adjustable lightbox mode
• Works on iPhone and iPad
• No account, no ads, no subscription
• On-device processing
Use Film Loupe at a table with old family negatives, on an iPad as a clean backlight, or whenever you just need to answer: “What is on this frame?”
It is deliberately simple: no project library, no batch workflow, no social feed, and no editing suite. Just a calm utility for seeing your negatives quickly.
