Discover Timeless Truths Alongside Americans Across History
How is the Bible relevant to our life today? Throughout history, people longing and laboring for justice have found hope in the Bible’s promise of a returning King who puts all to rights. In the Bible’s pages we meet Jesus and the abundant life he offers. We also find wisdom for life together. Many Americans—from colonial times to the present—have read the Bible as a public text for philosophy, ethics, lawmaking, civic reform, and even governmental theory. Their reading has shaped America’s ideals and changed our world.
Now, you’re invited to a personal encounter with the Bible in the company of parents, leaders, writers, educators, and reformers whose lives and work it has touched. You’ll explore the Bible’s influence on America’s founders and visionaries—and consider its transforming message for your life and your communities.
