Make your own flashcards in seconds and let spaced repetition tell you exactly what to review today. CardFlip is a free flashcard maker for students who want to memorize words, terms and formulas without an account, without a paywall and without an internet connection.
FOUR WAYS TO STUDY YOUR CARDS
- Flip: classic flashcards with a smooth 3D turn. Tap to reveal the answer, then rate how confident you were from 1 to 5.
- Quiz: multiple-choice questions built automatically from your own study cards.
- Match: find the front-and-back pairs in a memory grid and beat your own time.
- Type: write the answer from memory to test real recall, not recognition.
SPACED REPETITION THAT DOES THE PLANNING
Spaced repetition is the reason flashcards work. CardFlip schedules every card for the day you are about to forget it, so a few minutes of revision each morning replaces a night of cramming. Each deck shows how many cards are due today, so you always know where to start.
BUILT FOR REAL STUDYING
- Unlimited decks and unlimited study cards.
- An optional hint on any card for when you are close but not quite there.
- Tag decks by subject - Spanish, biology, anatomy, history, GRE, SAT.
- Search every card in every deck at once.
- Import hundreds of cards from a CSV or a tab-separated file, export any deck as JSON.
LEARN VOCABULARY OFFLINE
Every deck lives on your device. Language learning cards work on a plane, on the metro and in a basement lecture hall. Nothing to sync, nothing to log in to.
TRACK THE WORK
- A daily streak, and a record of your best one.
- XP for every card studied and every quiz answered.
- Achievements as your decks fill up.
- A weekly chart of the minutes you actually put in.
- A progress ring on every deck showing how much of it you have mastered.
PRIVACY FIRST
Your decks and your progress stay on your device. No account. No personal data collected. Your study cards are yours alone.
MADE FOR STUDENTS
Light and dark themes, smooth flip animations, tuned haptics and adjustable card text - the small things that make revision cards something you actually open.
Whether you are learning a language, prepping for the GRE or SAT, memorizing medical terms, revising for school exams or building vocabulary, CardFlip is your offline study companion.
