CapMusic: Turn the World in Front of You into Music
What you see becomes music.
CapMusic creates Apple Music playlists from photos. Take a picture of the scene in front of you, or choose one from your library, and AI reads the light, weather, color, space, people, and feeling inside it. Then it turns that moment into a listening journey.
I started CapMusic from a simple belief: what we see is never just an image. A rainy window, a street at dusk, a road trip, a room after midnight, a friend’s face — every scene carries a kind of sound. Before AI, those feelings mostly stayed inside us. Now we can begin to translate them into music.
◎ Core Features:
⊕ Photo-to-playlist: Take a photo or choose one from your library, and let the image become the beginning of a playlist.
⊕ AI scene understanding: CapMusic reads light, color, weather, mood, texture, and energy, then turns the real world into music cues.
⊕ Four-phase listening journey: Each playlist unfolds like a scene, not just a random list of tracks.
⊕ More personal context: With your permission, CapMusic can use weather, temperature, humidity, time of day, and optional Apple Health or body-state context to make the playlist feel closer to now.
⊕ Save and share: Keep favorite moments, songs, and visual music cards.
⊕ Built for Apple Music: Connect Apple Music to find and play tracks. Full playback requires an active Apple Music subscription.
◎ Who is CapMusic for?
⊕ People who want to remember life through music: a walk, a trip, a room, a dinner, a rainy day.
⊕ Music explorers: more songs are released every day than any of us can hear in a lifetime. CapMusic starts from what you see and helps you discover music you may never have searched for.
⊕ Commuting, studying, relaxing, and moving: let the environment and your current rhythm shape the recommendation.
⊕ Anyone trying to express a feeling: some moods are hard to explain, but easy to hear.
◎ AI Meets Reality:
I keep thinking: when we close our eyes, what should the scene before us sound like?
Music comes from life and feeling. Before AI, it was hard to turn what we see into music. CapMusic began simply: close your eyes, open them, and the scene becomes music. After months of design, capture now creates an Apple Music playlist for this moment.
I love music. I want music to reach the people and states it fits. We may only hear tens of thousands of songs in life, while the world has more than 250 million tracks. Many great songs are waiting for the right person, feeling, and scene.
AI should interact with the real world, not stay in a chat box. With permission, CapMusic uses context like weather, temperature, humidity, light, location, environment, and mood to find music that fits.
To me, music helps a song find the right person and state.
◎ Why CapMusic?
⊕ Starts from a real scene: not a search box, but the world in front of you.
⊕ More personal: photo, weather, time, and optional body-state context shape the playlist.
⊕ More like a journey: each playlist has movement and phases, not only recommendations.
⊕ You control permissions: camera, photos, location, weather, health, and Apple Music access are your choice.
⊕ Designed with accessibility in mind: over time, we want more people to feel and express the world through music.
Take a photo of what is in front of you. Let it become music.
