Everyone's skin is different - so why do tanning apps give everyone the same advice? Bronzed calculates your personal safe tanning time from the live UV index, your skin type, and your SPF, so you get your deepest tan without the burn.
Tan smarter, not longer.
SMART TAN TIMER
Tell Bronzed your skin type once, and every session is calculated for you: a personalised safe-time countdown built from the current UV index, your Fitzpatrick skin type, cloud cover, and the SPF you're wearing - with a built-in safety margin. A halfway flip reminder makes sure you tan evenly, and sun cream reapply cues keep you protected.
LIVE UV INDEX DASHBOARD
Open the app and instantly know: is now a good time to tan? A live UV gauge with colour-coded risk levels, real-time weather conditions, and a clear recommendation tailored to your skin - powered by Apple Weather.
LOCK SCREEN & DYNAMIC ISLAND
Start a session and put your phone down. Your countdown, flip status, and reapply alerts live on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island - no need to unlock your phone while you relax.
SPF RECOMMENDATIONS
Never guess which sun cream to wear again. Bronzed recommends the right SPF for the current UV level and your skin type, and adjusts your safe tanning time to match.
VITAMIN D TRACKER
Sunshine isn't just about the tan. Bronzed estimates the vitamin D you produce in every session and tracks your progress towards your daily goal, day by day and week by week.
PROGRESS YOU CAN SEE
Log every session automatically in your progress calendar, build streaks, and add progress photos to watch your glow build over the summer - proof that smart, consistent sessions beat one long burn.
UV WIDGETS
Home screen widgets show the current UV index, conditions, and risk level at a glance - so you know the moment conditions turn perfect.
SUN SAFETY, BUILT IN
Bronzed is built on the same science dermatologists use: the Fitzpatrick skin type scale and Minimal Erythemal Dose (MED). Every safe-time calculation is capped below your skin's burn threshold, with tips for before, during, and after every session.
WHY BRONZED?
Other tanning apps tell everyone to "get tan fast." Bronzed is different: it does the maths for YOUR skin. Fair skin that burns in minutes and olive skin that rarely burns get completely different plans - because that's how sun actually works.
