AltiPuls shows your current altitude above sea level on Apple Watch and iPhone, using the barometer and GPS.
KEY FEATURES
• Live altitude in meters or feet
• History chart with ranges from 30 minutes to 7 days
• Daily altitude records
• GPS route with a map (on iPhone)
• Watch-face complications: value, chart and a small circular one
THREE WAYS TO COLLECT DATA
1. From workouts — AltiPuls imports altitude from workout routes in the Health app (read-only; it never writes back).
2. Background refresh (Eco mode) — periodic altitude snapshots with minimal battery use.
3. Continuous tracking (Precise mode) — live measurement and GPS route recording.
IMPORTANT — WATCH-FACE COMPLICATION
For background collection (Eco mode) to run regularly, add the AltiPuls complication to your active watch face. This is a watchOS requirement — without a complication on the face, the system does not grant the app background time.
BATTERY
Precise mode (continuous tracking and route recording) uses noticeably more battery — use it for activities, and pick Eco mode for everyday use.
